Preity was recently in Delhi for an award giving ceremony and the persona of her that came before us, very much says she is a good human being. Already actively involved in social work with an NGO, the sorry state of women in this country appalls her. She is taken aback when she confronts a girl who saved 11 lives. She is made to whether there will be girls after 10 years, particularly for the sex ratio in India. She wonders how man can be so savage to marry a 6-year girl with an idol and then molest her. She worries for those, who live in depravity. She salutes the bravery award winners, who in one sense or the other made her feel proud that she comes from that class of the society, which respects courageous people. This is the human side of Preity.
She has lots to say about everything, except her marriage. Rumors are galore that Preity is soon tying the knot with Muhammad Ali Jinnaha’s grandson Ness Wadia. But, when she is queried the same, she keeps mum.
