Deepika who is a model par excellence and an upcoming star will be seen making her debut in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, has recently made it to the list of top 50 most beautiful women in India selected by Femina - woman’s magazine.
Deepika, will be seen potraying the role of Shanti in her debut movie. The industry considers her as a beautiful find and a lot of people are expecting much more from the beautiful Deepika. This issue of Femina was unvieled by Deepika and Karan Johar at the Capital’s Shangri La Hotel, New Delhi on 28th September 2007. The readers choose the top 50 most beautiful ladies in the country for the first time through SMS, web and print poll conducted by the magazine itself. The team at Femina also sought opinions from leading fashion designers, photographers and opinion makers from a choice of 100 such women.
The unraveling event witnessed an attendee list inclusive of the likes of Shahnaz Husain, Riddhima Kapoor and Bharat Sahni, Kalyani Chawla, Anupama Verma, Jattinn and Gunjan Kochhar, Ambika Pillai, Manav Gangwani, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Shibani Kashyap, Jas Arora and Boney, Ameeta Seth, Navin Ansal and Raseel Gujral.
With only a month left for the release of Om Shanti Om, Deepika has already caught the eyes of many. In anticipation of her upcoming movie and joy of being selected as one of the top 50 most beautiful women in the country the young Deepika said,
