
Shilpa Shetty seems to be on a roll for awards and this time Indian government seconds the judgment of University of Leeds. After getting honorary Doctorate degree from University Of Leeds, Shilpa will be presented with Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award.
The Award, named after Late ex-prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was instituted by Bureau of Indian Standards in 1991, with a view to encourage Indian manufacturing and service organizations. The idea was to hearten them and enable them to strive for excellence and giving special recognition to those who are considered leaders of quality movement in India.
Shetty’s publicist states:
To be a worldwide achiever at such young age is a matter of utmost prestige for Shilpa. She is extremely grateful to be chosen for this honor.
Earlier, recipients include Kareena Kapoor, Sunil Shetty, Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Adi Godrej, Anand Mahindra, Sunil Mittal, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Sant Singh Chatwal, Shah Rukh Khan, Tarun Tejpal, Rajdeep Sardesai, Sania Mirza, Sachin Tendulkar, etc.
