With the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) already honoring Dharmendra with a lifetime achievement award this year, the academy also plans to honor Shilpa Shetty with a special award.
Shilpa will be honored for her global impact after ‘Big Brother’. She will also be performing at the awards.
When asked about her dance performance with her ex-flame, Akshay Kumar, at the awards night, Shetty snapped,
No way! I’m doing just one solo act. That’s it.
Shilpa has had a major stay of execution from her legal squabbles; thanks to the Supreme Court’s decision to shift all the cases awaiting against her over Hollywood star Richard Gere kissing her to Mumbai.
I feel I can breathe trouble-free now. The past few weeks have been so traumatic. The respectable judge has made sure that his judgment isn’t just a relief to me but to all those who are, in the same way, bothered. It’s a good step. I’m so glad to see our legal system being so fair to someone like me who’s persistently being harassed by Public Interest Litigation (PIL) and legal notices.
Aside from practicing for her solo act at IIFA, Shetty is full of activity placing final touches to her next film, Anil Sharma’s ‘Apne’. The film starring all the three Deols - Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby, is a reason of big smile for Shilpa as she is proud to be a part of it.
