After making his debut in Hollywood flick, ‘Brick Lane’ directed by Sarah Gavarone Satish Kaushik is now back from Toronto, the place where premiere of the film took place.
Adapted from Monica Ali’s acclaimed novel ‘Brick Lane’ will show Kaushik in a vital role of Chanua, a Bangladeshi immigrant. Now, the actor director Satish is in bliss from the experience he gained from the movie that has also changed him professionally.
Satish asserted:
I was amazed with the way they plan everything. Today, I’m more organised and that’s how I managed to complete Tere Sang with newcomers in three months flat,” he enthuses.
In addition, Kaushik too considers himself lucky because earlier actors like Boman Irani, Irrfan Khan, Pankaj Kapur, Farooque Shaikh and Anupam Kher were also screen tested for the role. But they all failed and it was Kaushik who eventually got the chance to make his debut in Hollywood.
Satish further asserted:
It was an honour. In Mumbai, I’ve got slotted in a particular kind of role, but once Brick Lane releases here, people’s mindset will change,
Now it seems that by riding high on his first success abroad, Kaushik is also planning to hire an agent to look after his work in the Hollywood.
