Richard admitted that he has seen Indian movies, but couldn’t call to his mind the names. In fact, he very frankly divulged he would be keen on performing in a song and dance in a Bollywood flick.
Richard came up with a very lovely anecdote from his life when Karan confessed to him that his mother went weak in her knees every time she saw Richard on the screen.
I was making a movie recently and there was a little press conference so that everybody would know what we are doing ... and there was this young reporter there ... so shy and she came up to me and said, Mr. Gere, ‘Three generations of women in my family love you.... my grandmother, my mother and me’, ... and I started blushing.
During the rap session on the show, Richard shared various experiences of his life. He told how sexy and hot he found Bollywood bombshell, Bipasha Basu. He also talked about his AIDS campaign in India, and how Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Shabana Azmi and Bipasha Basu helped to set the ball rolling.
