Bad feeling syndrome of Varanasi regarding Rani Mukherjee multiplied and strengthened its base when recently Rani’s bodyguard’s lathi charged fans and media people during shooting of Yash Raj Film’s Chudiyan.
Director Pradeep Sarkar along with Actors Rani , Konkona and the whole crew was shooting on the banks of river Ganga when the incident occurred.
This incidence instigated the anger of Varanasi fans as this incidence reminded them of the past behaviour of Rani.
Last time Rani while shooting for Bunty Aur Babli had crossed the threshold of the ‘akhada’ (wrestling ring) and danced and angered the locals as according to the rituals womens are not allowed to step in to the wrestling ring like this.
Therefore Rani had to apologize before the agitated fans and media against her behavior but her apology too was studded with arrogance as she pointed that media persons too are at fault as they were trying to get too close to her and Konkana Sen Sharma.
