Rakhi Sawant, the much touted and media-savvy Item girl is looking ahead with promise to bolster her tarnished image. In Balti Devi: Queen Of Southall, Rakhi is very much her own for the story resembles Rakhi’s self. The story of a poor girl, who earns her living by singing and dancing, amuses people and attracts all. Even the Rakhi we all know is quite similar to her role as Balti Devi.
When asked about her Buddha Mar Gaya flop, Rakhi, as always chides media for tarnishing her image, as if media is the creator and destroyer of her image. Her obscene dressing up has always called for criticism from all walks of life, yet Rakhi has the answer that she is doing that stuff for the public that is, it is the people who want to look up to her as a naked devi.

Or is it that we have got ourselves into the habit of critiquing her everytime? Yet, hate her or adore her, but you cannot ignore her because Rakhi times her entry perfectly.
