Rahul Bose is known for his diverse knacks besides being an Actor. He had represented India in Rugby at National Level and is an ardent social campaigner (He claims he is married, nah, blissfully married to his acting, NGO and rugby).
The Actor says in an interview:
I don’t think I’m a star: This is no false modesty, but a fact. You need to have charisma to be a film star. I think I am only an actor, who is sometimes popular. I would have been a writer or an architect if not an actor. When I say architect, I’d like to add that the dynamics of space impress me a lot. In Cairo recently, I was impressed with the temple architecture.
The thinking Actor with profound meaningful cinematic sense, has shown his mettle in many movies (Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, Mumbai Matinee, Pyar Ke Side effects...). Rahul is a strong believer of parallel cinema and is content with his exploits there.
Recounting his emotional nostalgia, he said:
When I represented India for the first time, in Singapore, in a rugby match. We lost badly and I started crying when our national anthem was played. It was still one of the proudest moments of my life. Though my friends advise me against it, I still cry.
Unlike many Bollywood heroes, Rahul is a man with a social cause and the Bollywood hallmark synthetic image is nowhere about him. Keep up the good work!
