Nanhe Jaisalmer
Cast: Bobby Deol (playing himself), Dwij Yadav (Nanhe)
Director: Sameer Karnik
Making children entertainers is not an easy joke, but director Sameer Karnik deserves a pat of appraisal for his flick 'Nanhe Jaisalmer'.

'Nanhe Jaisalmer', strictly moves on the conventional path, fits into the genre aptly, with a 10-year-old kid, a local of Jaisalmer, unfortunately the sole breadwinner of the family earning his living by taking tourists on a camel safari across the desert.
But his hardships apart, Nanhe has grown up idolizing the Bollywood actor Bobby Deol and has his room walls covered with the actor's colorful pictures and posters.
So expectedly Nanhe when not out touring with tourists is either watching a Bobby Deol film, devotedly writing letters to the actor, or having endless discussions about the man. And one fine day, Nanhe comes face to face with his idol and here is when the movie stats taking shape.
But post interval the pace of this neo-fairytale starts to droop because of the far-too-stretched climax and this becomes the biggest drawback for the flick. But the flaws just don't end here for Sammer misplants Himesh Reshamiya's crooning to Nanhe's innocence.
But what comes as a complete surprise as well as delight is Dwij Yadav, who is a treat to watch throughout. With his right emotions and expressions and perfect dialogue delivery and timing he outshines the big actor, Bobby Deol, who has just managed to do an average job. There is nothing 'real' about the 'real' actor!
For the story is well knitted with controlled laughter treatment, good performance and a mature narration, I think these are reasons enough for us to rate the flick as a one time watch with your nanhas.
