Bollywood bombshell Aishwarya Rai had to answer set of 60 questions in writing for getting a clean chit from customs.
Finally after two and half hour of question answer session Customs Department has given a green signal to Miss Rai regarding her link with the ‘mystery package” containing 13 lakh along with some electronic goods from Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The sender of the parcel has been identified as 30 years old Avineshwar, who is a Dutch national of Indian origin. Custom department is right now working hard to get more information regarding him. Moreover, a case has been registered against him under the Customs Act, as he has not declared goods sent by him by means of a parcel.
The punishment for this offence may vary seeing the seriousness’ of the offence from penalty to three years imprisonment.
Custom Department is working hard on this case, as they fear that in these types of incidences the name of a celebrity can be used to get quick deliveries without much of checking from our departments.
Custom officials had full praises for Miss Rai they articulated that even though Miss Rai was very tense she remained cooperative throughout the session.
