Miss Sri Lanka to play the leading lady in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladdin'

Former Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to enter Bollywood and has been lucky to get a role for herself in a film with Amitabh Bachchan. She has been roped in by director Sujoy Ghosh for his upcoming film titled 'Aladdin'. In fact Ghosh was keen on having Ayesha Takia as the leading lady in the film but somehow things didn't go right and Takia's role was offered to Fernandez.

Aladdin would be Fernandez's first stint in acting and looks she has got perfect co-stars with her for her debut film.

The film Aladdin is a modern day adaptation of the eminent Arabian Nights tale. The film will have Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh playing the genie's role and Riteish Deshmukh as Aladdin.

Jacqueline Fernandez has worked as an anchorwoman in Sri Lankan business program named "Lanka Business Report" and has also given on-the-spot news from Tsunami hit areas. She is also a columnist and writes a weekly column for "Daily Mirror".

I also remember her dating actor Viveik Oberoi, however that is something from her past.
