Filmmaker Mira Nair has announced her intentions to make a series of films based on HIV. During her recent visit to India, she confirmed directors Vishal Bharadwaj, Santosh Sivan and Kamal Hassan to make these films.
The flicks on the HIV issue will be 12 minutes long for which she is planning to cast some influential stars of Bollywood. One of the films will be scripted by Zoya Akhtar.
The motivation is to spread awareness about AIDS.
Nair has completed her film based on Jhumpa Lahiri’s book, Namesake. A UTV production, the film is said to have shaped up very well.
