Once assumed obscenity, now Kissing has become an essential part of Bollywood films. I very well remember the much-talked, lip- locking scene of Karisma Kapoor and Aamir Khan in ‘Raja Hindustani’ way back in 1996.
But with changing times, Hindi cinema has also taken a great leap and pecking one’s co-star has been well accepted by the Indian audience. As a matter of fact, female stars do not have to wait for long for their first on-screen kiss (we have enough stars like Mallika Sherawat who are known for their smooches in almost all the films).On the other hand, the male stars sometimes have to wait quite a long for their first on-screen kiss. And this same had happened with Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor.
Kunal’s first on-screen kiss has come after three long years since he began his career in films with ‘Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities’ in 2004. The 31-year-old was given permission to kiss co-star Konkana Sen in the film Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. And as expected he is pretty happy and excited on the lip locking scene, as he said,
My first on-screen kiss, Konkona and I did it well, considering we did it in below-zero temperature in Switzerland with 50 people gawking.
I believe other filmmakers are listening and will begin casting him in kissing scenes so he sets the screen on fire.
