Karan Johar is into animation now. In a recent news release he mentioned the first animated film under the banner of Dharma Production. 
For storyline he will stick to his blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai for the concept and drama. The new film will be named ‘Kuchi Kuchi Hota Hai‘ and will have three cute dogs in lead roles in a completely animal setting. With the script written by Suresh Nair, Karan is quite confident that the animation version will be accepted as well as the blockbuster movie. In an interview he said,
It’s my production house’s first animation film, and I’m naturally very excited about going into a new territory. It’s going to be based on a novel concept, a complete feature film like any Dharma production with songs, emotions... you name it
So, it is another Karan Johar stereotype movie, isn’t it? Famous for his love stories and family dramas, Karan is certain to follow the same trend in animation also. He has chosen his starting topic to play safe in the new arena. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a great hit in Indian film industry, and has a definite strong role in strengthening the base of Karan Johar in India. He wants to recreate the magic once again, but this time with dogs, and in terms of animation. As a co producer of the film, it is expected he will not leave any stone unturned to get the exact formula for success in this genre too.
The name ‘Kuchi Kuchi Hota Hai‘ already shows his basic trademark. All of his films start with ‘K’ and has four words, which then get abbreviated into four letters. This movie has done full respect to his superstition. In all of his projects he has involved Shahrukh Khan till date. So can we expect a voice over of King Khan in this animation also? Time will tell, but for now, good luck Karan Johar in his new venture.
