Kareena fancies role opposite SRK in 'Robot'

Kareena Kapoor has been in the tabloids ever since the news of a split with beau Shahid Kapoor. But the Bollywood sensation makes her way to the headlines this time with her keeness to act opposite King Khan in the SciFi Film Robot to be directed by Tollywood's Shankar and produced by Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.

Shankar, who recently achieved a grand success with his film Shivaji the Boss with star Rajnikanth is all set to make the movie. Kareena has realized that the number of flops will not do any good to her career and will keep bringing her cheque amount lower with ever flop. Kareena held the position of highest paid actress at one point of time, but it all seems to have slipped down a little.

Kareena and Shahrukh Khan were last seen together on screen in Asoka the Great (2001). Kareena has always had praises for King Khan and has shared quiet a lot of screen space with the legend himself. She definately realizes at this point of time a role as a leading lady in SRK's next will bring her right back into the race.

Sources have revealed that Kareena gets about 75 Lakhs per film as of now, which was once between 1 to 2 crores. The sensational actress will want her glory back and what better than grab it along with the King of Bollywood himself. It is reported that in an attempt to lobby for the role Kareena even paid a visit to Shahrukh Khan at his residence, who is not only the leading man in the movie but also the producer in this case. Kareena is definately eying at the role and is said to have mentioned it to SRK in the presence of his wife Gauri Khan that she should be considered for the female lead in Shankar's Robot. Only time can tell who wins the coveted role, but Kareena Kapoor will surely be wanting to come back to the top position and make up for the series of flops she has had in the recent past.
