Javed Akhtar finds little scope in Sholay remake

Lyricist Javed Akhtar sees no point in remaking a 'flawless film' like "Sholay", but says that "Don" can definitely be made again as it was made on a shoestring budget the first time.

He says, that there is hardly any scope of improvisation in Sholay, so there is no point redoing the film, specially when you cannot do anything new or different to the original.

Producer Nariman Irani somehow managed to complete the film within a meager budget, but Akhtar is quite upbeat about his son Farhan's remaking of the superhit.

Javed Akhtar himself has penned three songs for his son's film.
