Hrithik Roshan is all set to play Lord Ram in an upcoming film by Sanjay Khan titled The Legend of Rama. The movie, which is said to be a modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, will also feature Zayed Khan as Laxman and Big B as king Dashrath.
Riding high on the success of Jodha Akbar, Hrithik looks pretty poised to take on the big challenge. I’m pretty sure Hrithik will excel in this role too. He has got that perfect blend of masculine appeal with a gentle attitude. Besides, father-in-law Sanjay Khan is an expert in dealing with epics. He will leave no stone unturned in taking the best out of Hrithik.
There is no news about the rest of the cast, but I have an uncanny feeling that Ash will be roped in to play Sita. As for the larger-than-life character of Hanuman, we can only wish that we get someone like Dara Singh to play the role. However, I’m not too much worried about Ravan. We have too many here in Bollywood who fit the bill.
Anyway, let’s keep our fingers crossed till we get any further news on this project.
