Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Kajol won the 'Best Actor' and 'Best Actress' awards for their performance in Dhoom 2 and Fanaa correspondingly at the Filmfare awards function in Mumbai late Saturday evening. Held at Yashraj Studios in the city, the ceremony was hosted by Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Juhi Chawla. Whereas Rakyesh Mehra begged the award for Best Director for Rang De Basanti, and Critics award for the Best Film was given away to Rajkumar Hirani for Lage Raho Munnabhai.

The Critics award for the Best Actor was handed over to Aamir Khan for Rang De Basanti whilst Kareena Kapoor begged the Critics Award for Best Actress for Omkara. Abhishek Bachchan was given away the 'Best Supporting Actor' honour for 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' (KANK) and none other than fiance Aishwarya Rai was there to give away the award to him.
The Best Supporting Actress award was begged by Konkona Sen Sharma for Omkara. Whereas Arshad Warsi was given away the Best Actor in Comic Role award for Lage Raho Munnabhai, Saif Ali Khan was honoured for his role in Omkara with the Best Actor in Negative Role award. A R Rahman was given away the Best Music award for Rang De Basanti.
The Best Lyrics award went to Prasoon Joshi for Fanaa. Sunidhi Chauhan was handed over the Best Playback - Female award for Beedi from Omkara and Shaan and Kailash Kher were given away the award in the same category. The Power House Award was handed over to veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra and Jaya Bachchan and Javed Akhtar were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
