Sajid Khan, the TV anchor and comedian (better known for his show Ikke pe Ikka) has made an absolute ingress into direction with his movie Heyy Babyy. Sajid who tested the waters earlier by directing one story in Ram Gopal Varma's Darna Zarrori Hai has written the movie as well. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Vidya Balan and Boman Irani - directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Sajid Khan said:

I am 36 now and it's been nearly 15 years since I started my career on TV. My comic image has been courtesy my acts on television but I am a serious guy by nature.

But for Sajid, his first directorial had to be a comedy 'after all that's what I am known for', is what this multifariously talented man had to say when asked on the subject.

The movie slated to be released in August is a story of three Casanovas Akshay, Fardeen and Ritesh Deshmukh whose life stands jammed when a baby girl is left to them anonymously and 'Paternity is notion and maternity is proof' as they say turns true. As these men try to ascertain who fathers the kid and go searching the mother (scanning all their ex-women) they have the laborious task of parenting an infant as well.

Asked about the extra 'Y' factor in the movie name, Sajid agrees it is numerological prudence.

Both Sajid Nadiadwala and I are strong believers in the power of nine and the additional Y's in the title take the final count to that lucky number.

The movie is already a gossip flavor with 21 women shooting for a song, choreographed by big sis Farah Khan. But what is lesser known is that the movie will have tech quotient too. Nick Nickolai from Sydney, who has earlier worked on movies like THE MATRIX, BABE and POWER RANGERS, will be working on the film.

Khan further explains:

By using this technology, I can shoot with a baby even if the baby is sad or crying and later morph a smiling face on the baby's original face. So, as a film-maker, it makes it convenient for me to shoot.

The movie is debated to be a xerox copy of Hollywood's 'Three men and a Baby. However, Sajid clarifies, 'Well Heyy Babyy is as much 3 Men and a Baby as Munnabhai was Patch Adams. It's just a notion.'

The movie may fall into any genre or class but it will surely give Sajid a Head-on start in the massive entertainment industry.
