Bollywood heroes are not only showpieces. They are seen randomly in almost everywhere, when opportunity comes. Recently they are in highlight again, for some social causes.
This time Anil Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna were spotted in Badarpur, visiting under privileged children as part of a project sponsored by ‘Plan India‘. They had quite good time there with the children, and children also greeted their presence with enthusiasm. Anil has decided to use his upcoming film ‘Gandhi my father‘ to raise money for these special children. Celebrated painter Satish Gujral is also all set to have an auction to sell one of his paintings depicting the father - son relationship exposed in Gandhi, My Father and he has plans to donate the money to ‘Plan India’ funds for a better tomorrow. In an interview Anil Kapoor found saying
My upcoming film ‘Gandhi My Father’ depicts relationships, and one such way to nurture a true relationship with children, especially those who need tremendous care and support, is to understand them and their needs
This is indeed a very welcome move. Being superstars these people have certain responsibilities towards the society that helped them grow up, and fortunately they remember their duties. As a painter Satish Gujral did a fantastic job by dedicating one of his art works for the sake of ‘Plan India’, which will be completely used in aid of these under privileged children. While bollywood is flourishing it is very nice to watch on screen personalities come down and spread helping hands in order to fight social problems, for a better tomorrow. Numerous open and secret charity information are in air these days that ultimately prove that they are still human beings, with the same sympathetic heart that beats in any other people’s body.
