Govinda, or Chi Chi as we call him affectionately, is one of the gifted actors of Bollywood who has emerged victorious after every battle involving his topsyturvy movie career.
In a recent interview with The Times of India, the king of comic, who is also a Member of Parliament, revealed that he has matured a lot during his long Bollywood journey. Indeed, if we go by the success of his recent films, we have to accept that actor has turned wiser with passing age.
In the interview, Govinda admits that the script is the life of any project and he has made it a point to read the script before accepting any new project. When choreographer-turned-director Ganesh Acharya approached him for his film, Govinda, instead of signing it right away, opted to take his own time and browse the script before giving any answer. Govinda told The Times of India:
Ganesh has approached me. And I’d certainly like to do his film. But I haven’t heard his script. And from now on, I won’t say yes to any film without a narration... Even for Ravi Chopraji’s film, I said yes only after the narration.
The seasoned actor, riding high on the success of his recent hit Partner, further added:
I realise the script is of utmost importance. Ganesh is a dear friend. But before I say yes to him, I need to hear his script.
Thats good thinking by Govinda. After all, its the count of hit movies that keeps one alive in this trade.
