Finally ‘Dream Girl’ of Bollywood, Hema Malini will soon get her long awaited birthday gift from hubby Dhramendra. She recently turned 59, on October 16, 2007, and has been promised a vacation on her birthday by Dharmendra. As earlier planned, the couple was scheduled to leave for the vacation before October 16. But due to some important work the couple is still held in Mumbai and had to postpone long-due birthday gift, which made them celebrate the day by a small private party with near and dear ones at home. On being asked about her special birthday gift Hema said:
Hema, mother of two grown-up daughters still steals all the shows with her acting and good looks, is glowing on hearing the vacation news. She accepted that indeed this gift has made her birthday happier than earlier ones she had in her entire life.
Like all her previous birthdays (post marriage) Dharamendra organized a small party with two daughters. Speaking on a small gathering, she said:
I’m a very private person. I like to be with just the people I’m comfortable with. Maybe that’s why I come across as standoffish to people who don’t know me. I’m not snobbish, I’m shy.
Like always, she praises Dharmendra who has other commitments in life and is unable to spend enough time with her and adds:
He has other responsibilities and I shouldn’t complain. And he’s a very good father.
