Vivek Agnihotri's 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal', starring John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Arshad Warsi, and Boman Irani in lead roles, is about the battle of hope through relationships, pride and dreams.

As far as the plot is concerned, GOAL - a contemporary story of the Asian community in UK is about Southall United, a football club going through major crisis (no sponsors, no spectators and most importantly, no coach) which builds enough courage to nurture the hope that it will win the cup this time and give a blow to the mean headed Anne, head of the city council and Johnny Patel, a sports commentator, who conspire to acquire the land that belongs to the club.
Sir Devi Dayal Dhariwal, owner of the club, hopes to save the land from Anne and Johnny Patel. Hanif, the captain of Southall United, takes a blind step and hopes to bring in a celebrated ex-player to coach them. And then, there is Sunny Bhasin (John Abraham) who hopes to become a member of a top team and play first division football.
A number of things - dreams, aspirations and hope all come together. How these different pieces merge to become one picture is what we have to guess. Will the coach manage to pull his team together? How does Sunny become a part of this team? And most importantly, will the club win the title and retain the ground? Though the flick does not have an unusual story line but John with his soccer studs will surely be the crowd puller.
