Chak de India is still in its honeymoon phase. After creating havoc mass awareness and touching almost every single mind in the country, Chak de India is about to enjoy an exemption on entertainment duty for two weeks across theaters in Haryana. Everything happened after Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda watched the movie in a multiplex with his companions. The movie has been given tax relaxation but the previous revenues paid will not be refunded.
Chak de India no doubt has inspired the ministry also. Haryana is the first state to come out with a tax exemption policy for this particular movie. No doubt encouraging movies like Chak de will definitely bring more and more movies of this genre. Where a business school is including this movie as a case study in its curriculum, on the same platform the decision of going tax free for this movie is quite important by itself. Chak de has created myth all over India and abroad also. Now it is time to see how it can influence the hockey association in reality to shake their heads and start planning to bring back this endangered game into life.

Based on true incidents the entire movie is full of enthusiasm, and it really recharges the soul of the viewers. The entire country is deeply submerged in the Chak de magic, and so are the govt authorities. This is indeed a welcome move by the Govt of Haryana. Let’s hope Chak de will do even more business in the region in next two weeks. Movies like this are real exceptions and true masterpieces in all senses. These should be nurtured, so that in future we keep getting movies like Chak de India in regular basis.
