Films are inspired versions of real life stories. But some movies create so deep impact in people’s mind so that we start dissecting the film in order to gain some real life idea on how to tackle a situation. The later is true for the recent hit and Shahrukh Khan starrer Chak de India. The concept of fetching a gritty women’s hockey team against all odds towards the World Championship title will very soon be put under dissection table in Aryans Business School (ABS), Punjab, where the students will have it as a case study in their MBA curriculum.
ABS chairperson Anshu Kataria said
The film based on a real-life story makes a deeper impact on the students of management. They can visualize the concept of the story and apply it in job areas later on. It will refine the quality of being a manager. It provides guidance for not only being an effective manager but also how to be best and a role model for others in whichever area they enter
Undoubtedly the movie and the character Kabir Khan have created history in Indian silver screen world. Based entirely on a real life story, this movie is surely an example of astute management, and a combination of hard work and brain to fight against all odds and to fetch the title of World champions. Women’s hockey is one of the most neglected sectors in India. As it was said in the movie, these teams are meant for formalities, and not really for performance. A single person changed the entire concept of the association. Kabir Khan’s determination, enthusiasm, leadership quality become contagious and glued the entire team as a single unit. The obstacles he faced were severe, but h never stopped until his team’s goal was accomplished.
This movie can be a real example of HR management, strategy, motivation, leadership, and with all these pros, it also teaches us how to fetch the best out of the worst situation. Released last month, this movie is doing great business in all over India and abroad, and very soon will pass another milestone by getting involved into academic discussions as well. This movie will help the aspirant managers to become good and effective leaders of future. Chak de India surely has left its craze behind, which will not fade up in recent future.
