There have been rumors in Bollywood. It all started with the press conference of Rahul Rawali’s film ‘Buddha Mar Gaya‘. A tale of greedy and corrupt minds combined together, all eying for a huge amount of money. After the death of a reputed business person, his family decides to keep the news secret in order to avoid fall in their share rates. This entire process involved some family members, and some outsiders as well. The entire thing is presented in comedy coating and the film is definitely going to be hilarious and pleasant to watch. Everything was fine till the question arose. Is Buddha Mar Gaya inspired from a real life personality? Or is it going to depict a real life incident? Director Rahul Rawali however has denied all charges. He was found saying recently,
I’ve heard of these rumors, lekin aisa kuch bhi nahin. I wish to clarify, Buddha Mar Gaya is not based on anyone’s life or any particular incident...The mannerism of the characters in my film may bear a striking resemblance to real people, that’s about it
Whatever be the inspiration of the movie, this is going to make you laugh frantically.
‘Malamaal Weekly‘ was the first black comedy that taught us how an entire village can try desperately to fool a govt official in order to get a huge amount of money. In ‘Buddha Mar Gaya’ the same concept will be used, but in a broader way. Here, the family will try to suppress the death of the person in order to save the rates of their shares in the stock exchange. Anyways, the rumor mills are sniffing similarities with current political scenario and are suspecting that the entire movie has been made in accordance to a real life incident. We will know whether they are to believe. But for the time being lets get ready for a terrific drive in humorous way.
