Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s late-night secret visit to a Hindu temple in Varanasi ignites the rumors that they are close to getting married.
Former Miss. World Rai and Abhishek held prayers in Sankat Mochan temple in Varanasi at 3a.m and were accompanied by Abhishekh’s father Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya.
The star family checked into a Varanasi hotel late on Sunday amid tight security and left for the prayers before dawn.
None of the stars spoke to the media but their family priest said the prayers were held to mark the birth anniversary of Amitabh’s late father.
Ash has been romantically involved with Abhishek from some time now.
When the media inquired why Rai was there even though she was not a member of the Bachchan family, the priest said: “I don’t know.”
Despite of a plentiful gossip in Indian media neither duo nor their families confirmed about the marriage.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, “I think the media is really going on an overdrive.”
