Ayesha Takia is the concluding search result to Boney Kapoor’s relentless quest for heroine to star opposite Salman Khan. Boney considered Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Jiah Khan (Her remarks recently against Katrina Kaif particularly irked Salman and poor Boney couldn’t agree less with Salman’s opinion!), but Ayesha was finally taken for the role in Wanted Dead and Alive.

Boney Confirms:
Both Sridevi and I feel she’s an under-utilized bundle of talent, just waiting to explode. We saw her in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dor and decided she was it. No two ways about it. The girl will go very far if she watches her steps.
Wanted dead and alive is remake of Tamil hit Pokkiri. The plot was about an IPS officer who works undercover to uproot a Mafia Gang, controlled by potent underworld Don, directed by Prabhu Deva. Prabhu will direct this Hindi version too and His brother Raju Sunderam will be the choreographer for the film. But the USP of the film is, Prabhu Deva and Salman will dance together for a song.
Boney Kapoor told the Mumbai Mirror:
Although Prabhu’s brother Raju Sundaram will be the official choreographer for the song, I’m sure Prabhu will make a token appearance as a good-luck charm.
The other USP impeller is, Ayesha Takia has been paired for the first time with Salman Khan. Ayesha and Salman worked in Salaam-e-Ishq earlier but both of them were paired with different Actors. Apparently, they didn’t share much screen together. But Wanted Dead and Alive will divulge both Actors’ keen chemistry.
In fact, that seems to be a key reason, says Boney:
We wanted to pair Salman with a heroine he has never worked with before. I want to create an aura of freshness around Salman through the cast factor. Therefore, Ayesha, with whom Salman has never been cast before.
The movie also tags Om Puri, Mahesh Manjrekar and Siyaji Shinde in other roles. The deal is signed with Ayesha and the crew leaves for Bangkok on July 25 to shoot for two songs. Ayesha is surely watching her steps, Mr. Boney Kapoor!
