Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is reported to have expressed his pride in the fact that Indian film industry is secular in nature and does not discriminate on the basis of religion.

Mr. Bachchan has reportedly made this remark in The Observer, which came out with a special issue titled 'The New India: An 84-page special issue on the world's next superpower'. The star, substantiating his position, referred to the fact that Indian film industries' three leading stars are Muslim and some its most popular patriotic songs have also been penned by the followers of Islam.
Mr. Bachchan, who is a revered legend of Indian cinema, is well known for his love for Indian film industry and his intense dislike for it being referred to as 'Bollywood'.
Interestingly, the cover of the issue in question features Vijay Mallaya, a flamboyant Indian industrialist, stretching out in his swimming pool with a mobile to his ears and a beer in hand. Surely, that's not true India, neither do we want it projected that way.
