Aishwarya Rai Ranks 9th Amongst Most Beautiful Women In The World

Aishwarya Rai etches yet another marvel on her success placard feather after being voted as the ninth most beautiful woman in the world in the poll of 100 most Beautiful Women of Today, conducted by Harpers and Queen.

The Bollywood Actor, who is internationally recognized for her drop-dead looks and entrancing persona, was quite ecstatic with the news. She said:
I felt quite thrilled when my mother showed me the poll results in Harpers & Queen. What really made me happy was the quality and caliber of the women whom I share the list with. If you run through the list you’d see that beauty is no longer skin deep. Every woman there is an achiever in every sense. They’re all women of substance, and not just from visible professions like acting and modeling

The list was compiled by 1,000 experts from the world of fashion, art, and the media and, peculiarly, plastic surgery and the voters were encouraged to vote on all-around package, and not only on skin shade. In a similar poll two years earlier, Rai bagged the same spot.

Aishwarya who has acted in many Bollywood films, after exploding on international scene by being crowned Miss World in 1994, has many firsts to her name (She was the first Bollywood Star to be called at the Oprah Show) and this poll result will certainly add some momentum to her career. Meanwhile, Abhishek can reel in the joy of having the world’s most beautiful woman as his wife yet again!
