Directed by Anant Mahadevan 'Aggar' is an original story of electrifying passion, betrayal and terror.

It portrays an exhilarating script on the anatomy of disloyalty and this time Mahadevan has tried his level best to film the thriller with some diverse deliberation.

Plot:

The plot of a well-packaged and evenly narrated story 'Aggar' revolves around a love triangle and is based on married woman Janvi (Udita Goswami) falling in love with a wrong man. Janvi who runs a business is married to a psychiatrist Dr Adi Merchant (Shreyas Talpade) and a faint air of dissatisfaction starts to creep into her relationship when Janvi begins to feel that her husband is having an affair with another woman. She also decides to look for love and fulfillment in another man's arm and when Aryan (Tusshar Kapoor), joins Janvi's company, she gets attracted towards him. Afterwards with a twist of events she recognizes her fault and tries to snap off her illicit affair. Aryan refuses to loose her and the crush turns into a dangerous obsession. How Janvi handle the recent turn of events forms the rest of the story.

Short review:

No doubt that 'Aggar' is more like a follow-up. And again after 'Aksar' and 'Zeher' Udita plays a wife who cheats her husband by making an extra martial affair sans paying any heed on deadly consequences of her relationship.

However, the twists and turns do proper justice with the thriller aspect of the flick but alas they contradict logic and rationality. Several scenes make little or no sense for example when Sophie Choudhary dies because it is not clear. Moreover, director has left too many scenes open ended sans tying all the lose ends together. The climax of the film too is sedate and fails to portray the crux of the story.

Dialogues and Actors presentation:

Cinematography can be graded as average and the dialogues used in the movie are often corny and amateur. Besides few decent sounding numbers the performances of the stars was also weak and inefficient.

Undoubtedly Udita Goswami appeared hot but I think she need some more hard work on her acting skills, her performance is incoherent as well as inept. Actor Shreyas Talpade who touts for his acting skills, his role in the film is quite confusing. Tusshar Kappor tried his level best but he failed badly to play psycho bad guy due to his gestures and body language. In addition, if we grade his performance he failed to do complete justice with his role.

In general if we contrast Ananth Mahadevan's Aggar with 'Murder' we can say that the flick is an average thriller but it portrays some unlike story line to show passion, betrayal and terror. I think you can take a chance to catch the movie on silver screens.
