The sweet little dimply boy next-door, Aftab Shivdasani is all set to rock again in the sequel to ‘Masti’. Director Indra Kumar was always fascinated towards the boy’s comedies, his recent creation ‘Dhamaal’ was a huge hit, which was also with the same motive. Aftab was also offered a role in Dhamaal but unfortunately could not make it due to some date issues.
When Aftab was offered ‘Masti’ as his debut film, his father did not like it because the script was weak and he himself liked it because nothing was vulgar in it. According to special sources, he is also playing a negative role in the Vikram Bhatt’s Speed.
After a long time, in ‘Masti’ Aftab would be playing a comedian role coupled with E.Niwas’s De Taali, in which he will be starred with Riteish Deshmukh. A small love story, ‘Love Dale’ produced by Sanjay Gupta and directed by Jasmeet is also one of his most awaited releases.
Aftab in a press conference said, ‘I’d love to work with Deepa Mehta and Mira Nair. They make films close to my heart. I’ve always done films that push the envelope.’ Aftab we are also waiting for it. In his tour to Toronto and the US he actualized that his movies are doing well there and has a recent fan following.
Honestly, nothing in Aftab’s career came as a turning point where he could establish himself as one of the finest actors but he has high hopes for a film called ‘Jazbaa’ again by Sanjay Gupta which is a make over of ‘Four Brothers’. Here again, Sanjay Gupta makes a men oriented film. Some bruits were said against Yana Gupta and Aftab, but he assured that his personal life is very fine and he leaves to the people to chew over his marital status.
