Music composer Adesh Srivastava is on cloud nine these days. After hitting the charts in Bollywood with his musical scores in films such as Sailaab, Border, Dushman, Refugee, Babul etc, he is now making it big in the international arena.
He has teamed up with Wyclef Jean, the Haitian-American rapper, guitarist, producer, and member of the hip-hop trio The Fugees for an album called Carnival and is making ways for the Indian Dhol to rock the music scene of United States. He has used 60 Dhols for a single score and is determined to introduce the traditional musical instrument worldwide.
Adding another laurel to his credit, Adesh is now providing symphonic embellishment to a track featuring Norah Jones in the same album by Wyclef. Not only Norah, he would also contribute to a track by Shakira, who will also be a part of Wyclef’s album.
Adesh is upbeat for his collaboration with Wyclef, who lend his voice in Hips Don’t Lie with Shakira, which was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. The Wyclef track with Shrivastava is called Immigration. He further wishes that he could rope in Lata Mangeskar too, as a part of the album.
Not only this, Adesh has also agreed to do the score for a Hollywood movie to be produced by the makers of 300.
Recently, he met Shakira at Four Seasons Club in Toronto during a musical performance and they performed for a fusion track Bollywood meets Hollywood.
