Rahul Bose said it. Akshay Khana said it. Now it is Abishek Bachchan who is saying it - that Mallika is ‘fabulous co-star. We did not expect it. Perhaps because she was not among those appreciated for their acting skills or praised for their cerebral remarks. And may be because it was her onscreen smooches on which her stardom was primarily founded. But slowly but surely we have begun to realize that there is more to Mallika than her skimpy dresses and lip-locks.

Mallika is fantastic. She is a fabulous co-star. We shot the song ‘Mayaa Mayya’ in an abandoned church in Istanbul. She danced bare feet, practiced 8-10 hours every day but not once did she complain. She was always smiling and pleasant.
The song being talked about was filmed for Abhishek’s forthcoming ‘Guru’. About the movie Abhishek said:

It was challenging to play the journey of a man that starts at age 15 and goes on till 70. Am I open to playing an old man’s role? Yeah, why not! Everybody grows old, I am going to be 31 and I would love to play such roles.
