Aamir rejects offer for Sarfarosh sequel

Bollywood has a strange tendency of following trends. The catch line is, you get success, you set a trend. They follow you again and again till the entire concept is hated by the audience and after several super flops the concept is rejected. These days the trend is making sequels. Joining the sequel bandwagon, it is time for John Mathew Mathan to try luck with sequel of his mega hit Sarfarosh. It is being said that Aamir Khan was approached for the role once again, but this time he has rejected the offer as he will be busy with his home productions. The rumor is, the director is about to snatch another big Khan in Bollywood.

Sarfarosh was a tremendous hit at its time. But after that a long time has passed. Now just a sequel of Sarfarosh is uncertain to do good business in box office. After Sarfarosh Indian audience have changed trends for quite a few times. They have witnessed new slim and trim methods of story telling. Moreover the advent of multiplexes has certainly forced the directors to think twice before going for a big budget multi starrer. The decision of John could be fruitful if taken earlier. But at this age of experiment, there are doubts whether Sarfarosh can recreate its craze once again. Movies of this genre can not contain their attraction for a long time. They are created, they flood the industry with their success stories, and with time and changing requirements, once they die down. The attempt to recreate this movie is quite daring at this current period, as it will need to have a solid similarity with today's social scenario. But for John, who has once created the magic, it is time to recreate it once again. He has succeeded once, and who knows, may be he will be able to do justice once again.
