After producing and starring in the period epic film ‘Lagaan’, Aamir Khan is now going to produce a film, which will be directed by his wife Kiran Rao. Kiran Rao has also penned the script for the film. The script after being rejected, over a dozen times by her hubby Aamir, who is a perfectionist by nature, has now found the script to be ideal.
It is well known to all that Aamir cannot stop himself from interfering into the making of the film he is associated with. This was allegedly one of the reason for which he separated from his first wife, Reena Dutta, who was involved, briefly, in Aamir’s career when she worked as a producer for Lagaan. Aamir married again, to Kiran Rao, on December 28, 2005, who had been an assistant to director Ashutosh Gowariker during the filming of ‘Lagaan’.
It will be interesting to notice whether Kiran will get turn into a director or be happy being an assistant director for the film. Both the husband and wife were unavailable for any comments. We wish that this time Aamir’s professional life does not make him pay heavy lagaan for his personal life!
