Filmmaker Deepa Mehta who won the award for Best Film for Water at Bangkok International Film Festival is really disappointed with Water not being screened in India.

The movie deals with the sensitive issue of the ordeals of widows in 1930's. Lisa Ray and John Abraham played the leading characters in Water. Lot of fuzz was created when this project was in the production process because of its subject and its treatment.
She also said that she is not on talking terms with Aamir Khan now as he avoids her. Both of them worked together in 'Earth 1947.'
